Temitayo Isaac Odeyemi teaches in the Department of Political Science, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria where he is building a career with specialisation in comparative politics, digital governance and sustainable development.

His research focuses on how digital technologies enhance governance systems, institutions and processes and how these affect efficiency, citizen engagement, participation, human security and sustainable development in comparative contexts.

His research draws on his background as a tutor of undergraduate courses including ‘Introduction to African Politics', ‘Politics of Development and Underdevelopment', ‘Foundation of Political Economy' and ‘Public Policy Analysis' at the Obafemi Awolowo University.

In the aspect of research, he examines human interactions with digital technologies and how these influence different governance aspects, including elections, legislative activities and parliament-citizen relations, police administration and police-citizen relations, gender and women empowerment, climate change management and environmental governance. 

He is a recipient of grants awarded by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), Pretoria and the Regional Water & Environmental Sanitation Centre, Kumasi.
