I am a 2004 graduate of the OAU Dental school and a University Scholar (winning 5 out of 6 prizes at the 2004 OAU Convocation ceremonies), and qualified as an Oral Pathologist after obtaining a postgraduate fellowship in Oral Pathology from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) in 2014. I became Senior Lecturer in Oral Pathology in October 2020.

My first lectures to 200-level Dental students in 2009 were in Oral Anatomy and Physiology on topics that included anatomy of the periodontal ligament and pulp) as a resident doctor and subsequently from 2016-2021 as an Attending/Consultant Oral Pathologist. The second course taught is Oral Pathology (CHD 508/608), covering topics such as odontogenic cysts and tumors, neoplastic and non-neoplastic salivary gland diseases, bacterial, fungal, and viral infections of the oral cavity, lymphomas, soft tissue tumors, sarcomas, and epithelial pathology to 400-600 level students based on the curricula operating during particular academic sessions. As part of the faculty, I prepared undergraduate dental students (200- and 400-600 levels) for both written, clinical and oral exams and conducted the same between 2009-2022 as an assistant and internal examiner in Oral Surgery, Oral Biology (Oral Anatomy and Oral Physiology), the co-chief examiner in Oral Pathology between 2016-2019 and as a chief examiner in Oral Pathology in Feb 2020).

I served as the HOD of the newly created Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology department between August 2020-July 2001 and was the Secretary of the Faculty of Dentistry's Strategic Committee from 2018-2022 and has served in the Welfare and Scientific sub-committees of the Faculty of Dentistry Annual Conference Planning Committee since 2016. As a member of the College of Health Sciences Induction Committee, I served as Compere for the College Induction on a few occasions and was also a College of Health Sciences Academic Board member between 2018-2020.

My affiliations are to the IADR, IAOP, EACR, NDA, and NMA. I won a travel award in October 2016 to represent Nigeria at the 95th General Session of the IADR in San Francisco, California, in March 2017 where I had both abstract and poster presentations (#2728).
