Mr. O. J. Ajiboye

Olusegun Jide AJIBOYE had his university education at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in Osun State, where he obtained a B. A. Degree in Fine Arts (1993). He got a Master of Fine Arts degree specialising in Painting (2000) from the same school where he has been lecturing since 1999. He has been involved in several research works which yielded creditable published articles in reputable journals home and abroad. He believes in good and qualitative studio practice and has quite a number of joint and group exhibitions to his credit. His major works are in the areas of painting, batik, illustration and pottery. He holds the view that art is an expression of the mind that should not be hindered by rules, caged by stylistic boundaries and restricted by specialisation but must be based on genuine inspiration that reflects philosophy and expressed with the language of aesthetics.
