Dr. Olurotimi Aaron is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences and a Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesia of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, the roles he assumed in January 2017. He has a demonstrated history of working in medical practice and Clinical Research with interest in Paediatric Anaesthesia and Pain Management.

He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Anatomy and MBBS at the University of Ilorin in 1997 and 2004 respectively. He had his Internship at 68 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Yaba Lagos. Dr. Aaron undertook his Residency Training in Anaesthesia at the OAUTHC between 2008 and 2014. He qualified as a Diplomate of the West African College of Surgeon in Anaesthesia in 2010 and a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College in 2015. Dr. Aaron obtained a sub-specialty Fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia from the University of Nairobi, Kenya in August 2019 under the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) Scholarship programme. He also had a Medical Observership Experience at the Seattle Children’s Hospital/University of Washington, United States of America in October 2019 as an American Society of Anesthesiologists /Society for Pediatric Anesthesia (ASA/SPA) Global Scholar for 2019. He is a member of the National Society for Anaesthetists (NSA) and the Global Initiatives for Children Surgery (GICS)               

 Dr. Olurotimi Aaron was the pioneer Anaesthesia Lecturer at the Bowen University, Iwo and worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist in its Teaching Hospital until his employment at the Obafemi Awolowo University.
