Funso ADESOLA is a Professor of international Relations and Dean, Faculty of Administration, Obafemi Awolowo University {OAU}, Ile-Ife, Osun State. Nigeria. He was the President of the Department of International Relations (2011 – 2013). He was also a Laureate/Grantee of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa {CODESRIA} Dakar, Senegal and Exchange Scholar at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA – in a Programme sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, United States Department of State, Washington DC. Security studies, geopolitics and international relations of Africa are areas of his research interest. He has journal articles on them in – West Africa Review, African Insight, Nigerian Journal of International Affairs, African Research Review, International Journal of Nigerian Studies, Ife Social Sciences Review, among others. He is also the author of “International Relations: An Introductory Text”, “National Security in Nigeria’s Relations with its Neighbours” and co-edited “State, Governance and Security in Africa: A Festschrift in Honour of Professor Bamitale Idowu Omole”. In addition, he reviews manuscripts for the Ife Journal of International Affairs, The Quarterly Journal of Administration, African Journal of the Humanities and Social Studies, Ife Social Sciences Review –  all of OAU, Ile-Ife. He is also a manuscript reviewer for African Security Review, South Africa, African Renaissance, London and SN Social Sciences, Switzerland.
