 Re-configuring Data Infrastructure Ecosystem in Africa: a primer Towards Digital Sovereignty

This paper was paper was presented during the African Narrative on Digital Sovereignty. A Research Sprint which focused on digital sovereignty in Africa to look at what solutions can help realize national and individual interests of citizens in the digital economy across Africa, and assist African countries leverage their own unique advantages. The event was sponsored by the DSI/NRF South African Research Chair in Industrial Development (SARChI-ID), in collaboration with Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society, with funding from the Mercator Foundation.
