 Holds Ife B.Pharm., M.Sc. and Ph.D. (Pharmacognosy) degrees. Appointed a Junior Trainee Fellow in University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU) in 1985 and rose to a full professor in 2007. Taught all undergraduate Pharmacognosy courses in OAU, Ile-Ife, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Delta State University (Delsu), Abraka, University of Uyo (Uniyo), Uyo, and University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana, as well as both under- and post-graduate courses in OAU, Ile-Ife. Headed their Pharmacognosy departments; was Ife and Uniyo Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy. A Deutscher Akademischer Austauchdienst (DAAD) Sandwich Scholarship holder (April 1991-February 1994) at W.W.Universitaet, Muenster, Germany, DAAD Senior Fellowship Scholar (August-October, 2006) in Muenster, Germany and holds 1991 Certificate of Proficiency (PNDS) in German Language of the Goethe Institute, Goettingen, Germany. In University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho, Ghana was Acting Dean of School of Pharmacy and Head, Department of Pharmacognosy and Herbal Medicine; a member of some international societies, including Research Network of Natural Products against Neglected Diseases. Graduated thirteen postgraduate students, including two Ph.D. candidates, has 47 publications, 37 published conference abstracts on elucidation of anti-diabetic and anti-malarial agents from medicinal plants, and plants’ larvicidal activity, a reviewer of many international, regional and national journals. Has collaborators in other continents, a member of many accreditation panels of both Pharmacists Council of Nigeria and National Universities Commission, assessor of professorial candidates of some Nigerian and Ghanaian Universities, member of the 2013 Scientific Committee of the 61st Annual Congress of the Society for Medicinal Plants and Natural Product Research (Gesellschaft fuer Arzneipflanzenforschung, GA), Muenster, Germany, member and chairman of many statutory University Adhoc Committees, as well as foundation Co-Editor-in-Chief of Federal Government sponsored Ife Journal of Science and Technology, etc.
